Hardest thing? Clock spring? I'm not sure what you're referring to but, depending on what if any adjustable components you install with your kit, there really isn't a whole lot for you to align and none of it would involve the potential for damaging your clockspring. Recentering your steering wheel just requires a 15mm wrench and a couple of minutes of your time - you don't even need to lift your Jeep off the ground. :yup:

Spring compressors are totally NOT needed to install a lift. If you're installing the kit right, absolutely ZERO effort is needed to remove and install coils. This is a shot of me installing a 4" TF lift coils (more like 5") with ease and NO spring compressor. :yup:

My steering wheel was upside down, I drove it a few miles to check things out before adjusting the drag link, this broke the clock spring which had to be replaced. I should have said don't drive it with the wheel upside down. :)

The lift on this jeep went on fine without compressors (RE 3.5"), the lift on my 08JKU did not and the springs had to be compressed (RC 4")

LOL!! Yeah, that would be a bad idea

I don't know, I've never had the need to use compressors even with 4.5" coils. :idontknow:

A buddy of mine brough his compressors over and it ended up being more trouble to use then than it was worth when we put my lift on.

Rancho has a 3" option now too. The 9000's are good shocks but I would be willing to try out their new monotube shocks.

Eddie, I absolutely love my new RS9000xl 's. I had a 20 mile drive from the shop and thought oh Sh@*! this is a rough ride. I later found all shocks were set to the max. I dialed them down yesterday and I hit pay dirt. Loving it!

We've run a set before and the adjustability of them is definitely nice. I only wish I had the in-cab adjuster.
