These were released last November at SEMA. Since that time, I don't know a single person who's bought or is running them. Needless to say, it'd be tough to give an opinion on something that nobody is running but, I would have to think it'd at least be better than the foam in an can that TeraFlex makes.

ive actually already bought them, they should arrive in a week, was just looking for peoples experience. im taking my jeep on a desert race so will be able to give some feedback myself after that. we cannot weld in rear cans to the chassis in Australia thats why im giving these a try.
PS ive had Teraflex Speed Bumps on my other JK so i can compare
PPS just found this http://wayalife.com/showthread.php?21751-2014-SEMA-Rubicon-Express-Jeep-JK-Wrangler-w-Coil-Overs and you can see the rear bumps in some photos, looks like very good quality gear! fox brand shocks and bumps.

Never had experience with teraflex but, whats wrong with the speedbumps they make? They look really nice.

I feel I can accurately speak about Teraflex speedbumps since I ran their PreRunner LCG lift for a while, which included their speedbumps.

Basically you are spending good money for some foam which they shove in a can. They worked like crap. After being welded on, one can got stuck in and couldn't be released. We had to grind it off to replace it. It does not do the job Teraflex claims it does. I don't see how Teraflex feels foam in a can is adequate for a fully loaded 4door JK "bombing" in the desert which they claim their PreRunner LCG suspension can do. I'll tell you what. My suspension flat out sucked. It was stiff as can be. I hated it. Every time I would hit a speed bump in town the whole jeep bounced around. It was very uncomfortable.

Since then I sold that Jeep and got another JKU and had EVO build it with their double throw down and King bump stomps. Night and day difference from the Teraflex. Can't even put them in the same class. Well there is my 2 cents on the Teraflex cans.

Yep they look nice and i don't have much to complain about the set i had on my last jk, only that the front would tap tap tap when it touched the TF axel strike pad, and that the rear only has 1.5" travel and is 4.7" high when fully compressed so limits your suspension 'stuff' and articulation a bit. I never got a chance to run the TF hard so don't know if they would of performed how id want or last? but seeing as im going on this desert race in a month wanted proper Hydraulic units.
The terafex with pressurized foam compresses ok, and does a reasonable job to stop harsh bottoming, but it also then releases that energy throwing the axel down, the shocks need now to control that added rebound. Hydraulic Bumps don’t do that, the compression AND rebound are both controlled in the valving and oil so your suspension kit should operate as designed,
I do like Teraflex products, ive go their Dual Rate Swaybar which is excellent so im not bagging teraflex here at all.

This ^^^

I too have run the Speed Bumps since when it first came out and couldn't agree more. After removing them, I had several people ask if they could buy them and I flat out refused - they were that much of a joke.

I will just leave this here.

LOL!! I love that video. As funny as it is, Mel nailed it with that example.

ok i got the RE Kit in yesterday, not happy! the rear instructions vague & no front instal instruction included? also a medium spacer missing in the kit. The front is fine as they are just a Fox Hydraulic unit and i can work out where to cut the spring tower without instruction, but the rear wont work! i can elaborate with pics but its basically not well thought out and the rear air bump doesn't have 2" Travel as advertised? it only has 1-5/8" ?
That was a main reason i bought RE for the Rears 2" Travel (only previously available to me with weld in cans which i cant do here in OZ) over Teraflex's 1-5/8"
Believe it or not im considering fitting Teraflex Speed Bumps again: ) at least the Rears are a simple fit, if i fitted RE rears it would take days with some modifications and a trip to the machinist but i'm still only getting 1-5/8" Travel so im not gaining anything there. (except Fox hydraulic over TF foam).

Lol. So I went on a trip this last weekend and met some of the guys from teraflex. We had some pretty candid conversations and we talked about that pre runner suspension. They basically said unless you're gonna run flat out all the time it's pretty bad on trails and normal driving. Just found it funny their employees agree it was not great for normal driving. I'll say I enjoyed wheeling with them they were all super nice guys but still no teraflex parts on my jeep and it'll stay that way.

So has anyone else used the Rubicon Express bolt in rear hydraulic bump stop kit?
I am able to get a brand new kit for $350 and thought for that price it has to be better than stock bump stops?
I have a 5" Fabtech Long Arm Crawler kit on my JKU.
Thanks
