That looks like a good trail as well!

I checked out the path to get from Slick Rock to there and found it may be a little further than it looks!

Hope you have a great time. If you don’t enjoy water crossings, Fordyce is not the one for you. Lol. Flows are currently very low and plenty passable though.

The water is always deep, but 30” really isn’t that bad, it’s the flow rate that will kill you. 50 CFM is barely moving. I think 250-300 is max you want to try. There’s videos of 350 crossings. They are sketchy. It might be like 2’ now. It’s easily doable. I know the crossing into the dirty dozen was deeper then Fordyce. Just stay to the left on the first crossing for shallower crossing.

I think 30” is the “limit” on a stock Rig according to Jeep... at least that what it was for a JK. I agree though, a high enough flow rate will sweep you right off the ground.

30” is for stock but I can tell you I very seriously doubt you could get a stock Jeep down to that first water crossing on Fordyce. Fordyce is big rocks and hard lines. 37s on that trail is the minimum I’d recommend in a 4 door. You don’t see very many daily driver Jeeps out on that trail. It has a much different vibe then the Rubicon.

Fordyce definitely is harder than the Rubicon. But it is doable with a JKU on 37s.

I’m running Super duty’s as well with 42’s (14.5’s). Thinking of putting on a set of older 40’s (13.5’s) to squeak through the gate.

You should. It's a beautiful and fun trail. Couple pics of the trail.
I dont have any pics of me squeezing through the gate but that pic is 68.5" axles on 40s and Trailready BL. He had room to spare.

I wouldn’t recommend crossing at over 300. Not that it can’t be done, it just isn’t fun. 200 is more fun cause you aren’t worried about anything bad happening.

I crossed Committee at about 380 and it was pretty gnarly. And that first crossing is a lot deeper than it looks. For me it was the least intimidating but I took on the most water in that one.

I agree. Seems like that one always gets the most water. No way I would cross committee at 380. I was there when it was like 20 and that’s more my style. Lol where I can see the bottom and it’s only ankle deep

Another awesome trip in the books!

The area didn't disappoint!

I enjoyed Fordyce trail the most. In fact it may be my new favorite trail bumping Pritchett Canyon to the #2 spot! Winch hill #1 was EPIC! Sitting at the bottom I wasn't sure I was going to make it. The big rocks and steep incline are a bit intimidating!

The Rubicon was fun but only one section was a challenge. That was the "Old Sluice" area. That was fun trying to fit through! A few in our group messed up their tops on a rock. Somehow I just barely got by! Next time I want to run it uphill! I could see how the big sluice would have been more fun if it wasn't filled in with all the small rocks. I didn't even notice we were at it until I was already through.
