I was disappointed in the Synergy rear coil length too Overlander... I was hoping you would have a better experience with these.
It was loaded for all the tests. It would have bottomed out even without being loaded.

Great write up thanks for taking the time to put it together.
Great read and review! Good to know there isn't much of a difference between the two coils and not to waste my time on the Rock krawler ones
Eddie,
Thank you for the detailed review.
I do find my triple rates to be a bit stiff.
How do you compare them to your plush rides? I know the EVOs give you a softer ride but is there any other benefits?
Thanks!
It's hard to have your cake and eat it too. If you don't like spring sag, you have to run a heavier rate coil. If want a softer ride, you have to deal with spring sag.
Eddy how would you rate the Currie 4" coils? I run them and in the rear I have the plus 1" hd coils they offer. I'd say there firm but don't have much experience.
I have installed and tested the Currie Rock Jock kit with their 4" dual rate coils and would have to say they are on the firm side. But of course, I find that ALL dual rate, variable rate or what have you rate coils to ride on the firm side as really, that's all you're left with once you've used up the soft rated side of the coil. If anything, I also found the Currie coils to limit the amount of stuff I was seeing being that the firm side of the coil was a bit too firm. I am sorry to say that while I am a big fan of a lot of Currie products including their control arms, tie-rods, johnny joints, etc, I am not a fan of their coils.
Ok cool thanks for the response. Once my finances are in order I will be going evo bolt on CO and tossing the coils/ranchos. Overall I'm happy with the rockjock kit as a whole
Oh, don't get me wrong. What you have is a great kit, I'm just not a big fan of the coils. Everything else is great :yup:
So now that you have tested these out overlander were you satisfied enough to keep them or do you plan on changing them out for another setup?
I doubt I will put another set of coils on my jeep.
