Regear to 5.13, RPMs at 80/85/90mph??

Sorry to bump the thread...
I was running 90 in the fast lane in my truck and a Sahara was staying out in front of me. Guess I'm not the only speed Jeeper. I'm sure he had the 321? Gear.

I can actually help you with this, saw your thread a while ago and took photos as I could to help anyone in the future.

90mph.... this one isn't much fun.

OP has a 2015, with automatic transmission. It's totally different. Optimum gears for his Jeep, are 4.88 for 35, and 5.13 for 37.

I second this. I have a '15 auto 37's 5:13, perfect for road with hills and with load in it., I had 35's for a couple month's before the 37's and I felt it revved high on the highway if you want to travel between 70 and 80 mph. Never been offroading before so I can't comment there, but I have been told that the 5:13's with 35's would be a better choice.

I find 6k hard to believe unless he was in second gear winding it out.

I ran 5.13's with 35's for two years and loved every minute of it. When I went to 37's the power loss was noticeable. Granted I have a manual so it's a bit different than an auto but I would do 5.13's hands down.

I am looking at changing gears on my JK and ran across this thread and your post got my attention. Do you have a manual? I am regearing to gain some power and MPG hopefully. My JK is looking at mostly road and trails on the weekends, maybe 2-3 times a month. Thoughts.

I geared my 2014 JKUR with 5:13 and ran 35" KM2's for 3 years. It had lots of power but almost 3k at 70, just a little too low on the 35's. I just put 37's on and it is perfect, really made a difference.
