Rear shock free travel with EVO enforcer 4"

Hi , I have a doubt…after installing the EVO enforcer 4” I lost, on the rear shocks, a lot of up travel.
Yesterday I measured the free travel…when the rear axle is fully compressed to the bump-stop I still have 4” of up free travel on the shocks.
If I will use the EVO rock stars skid I will use additional 1.5”…how can regain the remaining 2.5”?
If I will reduce the bump-stop there is the risk that coils can have contact…

Other ideas?

I wouldn’t touch anything else. You don’t wanna run the risk of bottoming out your shocks or having your coils contact as you mentioned. I would install the rock star skids and then roll with it.

i'm an idiot before coffee.

Thanks , I will start with the rockstar and then I will see if I have more travel to ragain without bottoming risk

don't the rock star skid raise the lower the lower shock mount 1.5 inches? if he doesn't raise his upper mounting point, he's going to actually lose even more compression.

The up travel is fixed from the bump-stop.
With the rock stars skid I will gain more down-travel.

You will want to cycle your suspension once the rockstars are installed - depending on which shocks you are running your coils may unseat at full extension. I ran into this with the Fox shocks I had. They were for a 4-6" lift.
I ended up going with the King 2.5's for a 3-5" lift per ORE's recommendation and all is good.

I did't considered that the coils can unseat...[emoji848]
I should chenk also this aspect...

Thanks!

You are Welcome!

If new shocks aren't in the cards you could also install a pair of these spacers/retainers. They're available from 1/2" up to at least 2" I believe and have a built in retainer so the coils will go back in place if they come off the seats.

Honestly I love my Walker Evans shocks...looking the results of terrorflex spacers I prefer to use limiting straps if the shocks are too long for the coils...[emoji51]
