RAUSCH CREEK TRIP 10/26-10/27 (GREENS/BLUES with a touch of BLACKS)

Don't waste your money on diff skid plates. Just get a nice set of diff covers. You loose a little bit of ground coearance with the dif skids anyways. :thumb:

Not sure I want to do diff covers just yet. I'm on the fence about it but I figure the skids can't hurt. Yeh I'll lose a bit of ground clearance but I dont know how comfortable I feel having naked, stock diff covers. At least the skid will help me slide over shit. I dunno

You can slide on a good wuality set of diff covers too :p

Poison spyder covers are on my list. Gonna paint them too :yup:

:yup: Just got tracking numbers, so it's already on the way!

Not to be outdone, the 2 door little brother version of KP's rig (mine) will get it's T-Skid plate early next week. And my front bumper should be back from powder coating by then, too. Next week is going to be a good wrenching week for the Alexandria branch of the BSBC!

True.... true, true. I'll see now. Changing the diff covers my not be something I can do in the driveway though

Lol nice. What's the eta on tires and/or a lift? You'd be able to graduate from the BSBC

Dr. Madness, I am planning on bringing an extension cord and my 2 gallon shop compressor so we don't have any issues at Rausch Creek like last time. I thought I was going to have to cover Veetz' back last weekend. One of those big 4WD Van drivers (with a mullet and porn-stache) cut him off while he was waiting in line in order to let his fellow van dude get to the compressor. Note for the future: Big 4WD van people and Jeep people do not mix for some reason.

Great move Scott:thumb:

Funny you should ask. I was doing some brainstorming on the things that I'd like to do to the Jeep, and came up with $10k worth of projects. Let's just say that the lift and tires aren't going to happen before we go to Rausch Creek in October. Or in 2013...

Lol yeh we all hit that 10k mark quite quickly. However, may I suggest, if you aren't already, but look to do everything in stages. Right now I'm running Daystar leveling pucks and 33" trail grapplers just for now. Maybe look into doing something like that to hold you over. I couldn't handle having stock tires

A 2.5" lift can be had for under $1000 and a set of spidertrax wheel spacers will give you a cool looking wide stance. Then you just wait till your stock tires die and upgrade then
