RAUSCH CREEK TRIP 10/26-10/27 (GREENS/BLUES with a touch of BLACKS)

GOOD NEWS!!!

Since we are moving the wedding to this December that means my Jeep budget will start building again. This information came directly from Heather :)

I was thinking lod rear bumper/tire carrier but those of you who know my Jeep, what would you guys put on first? Maybe oilpan skid and dif covers?

Sent from my phone?

what I hit the most is the dif cover bottom lip which I filed down so it wouldn't catch the rocks anymore and my lower control arm mount along with the lower shock mounts. so along with the oil pan I would add those to the list.:twocents:

I actually have evo lower control arm sliders.

the rear bumper is going to be a big chunk of $$$ however I do want one that way I can carry hi lift and rotopax crap.

Armor first!!!! You can get a lot more parts for less money than the bumper will be. That's the route I'm going

Now the question is armor or lift first.

My wife wants to get LoD rockers and evo skids. :thumb:

Sent from my phone while I should probably be getting work done

If your wife wants to get something for the Jeep, than go with that. Keeping her involved keeps the mods coming :thumb:. KP and I both did the Rock Krawler BB, cheap lift and looks good with stock tires with the option to go larger in the future

Thats not what you run now though, is it? She and I are back and forth on this. On the one hand, a BB is effective and cheap. On the other hand we kinda wanna do it once and that's it. So we are really leaning towards the AEV DS that b17 runs because of the progressive rate coils.

If he goes with after market bumpers, i'll be curious to see if he still has 2.5" lift and 35s with no rub on stock fenders.

EDIT: After looking at the RK lifts, the 2.5" "BB" is a coil lift which I was unaware of. And you're right. the wife will be happier if she is involved :)

I was quiet on this.... but my vote is for lift.... I did RC stock and drug on EVERYTHING!!!! all my control arm hangers are bent to shit..... I did a 2.5 RE lift and only drug once.... Both with stock tires and no extra skids.

I put my tires on for the next trip and didn't scrape anything...

Lift is my vote

So what you're saying is..... I'll do RC stock and scrape a lot and "have to lift" because "everything is broken" and a "lift will be the cheapest repair" ...? :2thumbsup:

Yes, if you meant the lift. After the new year I'm going to start piecing together my suspension lift. And I'm not married. but I always keep my girlfriend involved. A lot of my friends that I ride motorcycles with get a lot of grief from their wives because they aren't out with them
