Rausch Creek- June 29/30

i'm not a big fan of the thick thick mud that acts like a suction cup holding the jeep down either.
but i do love the sloppy water crossings and looser mud, thats what i grew up on in florida.

the rocks are fairly new to me, they are growing on me. def gotta get more protected underneath and a lil bit more axle clearance.
just got to choose my lines a lil more careful for now.

i'm in for whatever, long as i'm in my jeep and with good people like all you i'm good:cool:

yeah with the beadlocks now i dont enjoy think mud anymore...it takes a lot to clean them out....still working on it after my weekend creek crossing

i am curious about the man made rock/concrete thing to the left of the office at Rausch. are we alowed on that?

That would be the comp course and you do whatever you can in there....i actually plan on playing on it for the first time when I got up next.

Sorry I may not be able to join you guys as i will be with a group doing trail cutting for the new part of the property. However we do plan on getting onto the normal trails after we finish.

I'm up for blue/black trails too. I'm soo stoked reading everyone's posts. This is shaping up to be a great trip

Anyone have inputs on wheelin with a prego wife? From what I've read it's not bad as long as I don't drive like an a$$ and she gets out for anything crazy. I just wanted a first hand take on it. I'm about 3 1/2 hours away and have no one else to ride shotgun. Either that or trying to convince her to have a girls weekend.

I wouldn't do it, chances are nothing will happen but why take chances, you will be bouncing up and down all day...................... A 40 pound stripped bass gets to be. 40 pounds by not taking unnecessary chances.. My 2 cents

Maybe he should take her then. Could you imagine a 40 pound baby at birth?

How pregnant? My wife is a Flight Medic, she went light duty after the first trimester because of the vibrations and sudden unexpected movements. I probably wouldn't risk it, even if you don't "drive like an ass" there's always the chance you could miss something and you DO get bounced around at Rausch. Just be patient and think of all the future trips you will be able to bring the lil guy/gal on in a few years. Best bet spring for some mani/pedis for the wife and a friend and go yourself. Congratulations to you and your wife :thumb::beer:

Me and my friend almost sh** our selves... Need more suspension travel and it won't be as scary :yup: hopefully that will be soon

I was actually planning on going up and doing the 101 course that weekend. Just got my jeep a couple weeks ago and new to offroading. What do you guys think? Do the course or no?

Yes do the course!!! It is absolutely amazing! It will help you tons with wheels and tech you how to pick lines properly. I did it twice (once for me and once for my stepdad) and its very helpful. I'm going to so the 201 class at the end of the summer so I can build on my 101 class plus individual trips I have done
