This guy was not pleased with us working near his suet feeder. He took out his frustration on a nearby tree. Love how the chunk of wood is flying out from behind him. They can do so much damage in such a short amount of time.

There's a tree in the neighbor's backyard that attracts woodpeckers. The tree is dead at that top level and from the sound I suspect it's hollow, usually I'll hear the woodpeckers chattering then one of them is at tree getting after it like it's pissed.

I've never seen them nest in the tree so, I suspect it's the male taking out it's frustration as I'm pretty sure all the chattering beforehand was "you're doing it wrong"

Literally the first ebay search i screenshotted. The skull market is real. It's crazy what people pay. I keep them all. People grade them based on missing teeth etc. Once the tissue is gone, a quick boil in decent peroxide (not the grocery store stuff) and they're beautiful. People do art projects, witchcraft, etc lol. It's easy money.
