On this day in 2012, I rented this 1997 TJ, in Silverton, CO. A week later, I had my own Jeep.

That's awesome!! This is the last jeep we rented in Ouray before we decided to buy our own JK. Her name was Elane.

Man, that TJ had like 200,000 miles on it, and the transmission was a little wonky, until it warmed up, but it was the one the guy at the rental shop liked the most. I did to, by the time I turned it in.

Hey! That's where I went on my first Jeep off road adventure. Rental too. 2003 ish for me. Beautiful trails and scenery. I remember having so much trouble getting that damn soft top back on and wondered why anyone would buy one of those. Now I've never owned a hard top.

Lol, isn't that weird! I swear I've purchased like 5 or 6 10mm sockets and guess what? When I shipped my stuff here to the island I was going through all my tools. Both sets I'm missing the 10mm socket. WTF happens to those things??
