We have about four of them in our yard. Our neighborhood was a game preserve and is mostly trees, so they have plenty of nesting spots and food. We had them in Tennessee but rarely saw them. It’s a daily occurrence here.

I've got a couple of them in a tree off my back yard, could hear them every morning but took a couple of weeks to finally spot them

Do you see those often? I've only seen one ever. They are so cool looking.

They are really smart too. So smart that they managed to train the home owners to always have two full suet feeders ready for their dining pleasure at all times. When the feeders are empty they sit in the tree and make a lot of noise until the humans refill the feeder.

This is hard to believe…but we lost Waz (the black & white one) three days after we lost Chip. He was having heart problems for the last year, then right after Chip went, he started to have multiple seizures that was causing him a lot of pain. My wife thinks he died of a broken heart…

We knew Chip was going due to age, but didn't Expect Waz to go just a couple days later...both of our girls are very bummed. Waz would have been 15 this year, so he was no spring chicken...

I think your wife is correct-a broken heart.

Sorry for your loss, dogs mourn, and he likely did go of a broken heart. Never easy losing that much love bundled in fur.
