Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

Please don't tell me that I am wrong again, but this looks like excellent work to me!

Is the lighter color of the doors due to being fresher wood, or is the wood on the walls in some way different?

sigh, thank you Bob

Yeah, the wood is from the same batch - it oxidizes over time and will eventually turn gray with exposure to the sun. The difference is roughly two weeks between the wood on the shed and the doors

Had some noisy water lines at 4am when the sprinklers would kick on. Swapped out the cheap clips for some noise isolation ones. We will see how it works. Half of the of the old clips were broken anyways… should’ve taken a before picture.View attachment 426586

Nice! There must still be some valve or junction which is producing the turbulence and thus the noise. It would be good to identify it. Perhaps replacing that part would remove the source of the noise.

When the solenoid valves feeding the sprinkler heads open & close they cause water hammer. If you install a soft seated check valve before the solenoid valve it'll help absorb the hammer.

Thank you for that tip! I noticed the noisy check valve. I didn’t know I had an option to change that out.
