Fortunately, I live in the burbs in a different county; the local police and sheriff don't tolerate that crap. Before the Antifa takeover of Portland, the three counties cooperated with SWAT/CERT responses; after it became clear Multnomah county DA was unwilling to prosecute, the other two counties refused to respond.

I drove to the store the other day; a tent was being set up in the greenway; when I drove by on my way home, the local LEO was getting them to move along. We have resources for the homeless, but they have a strict no-drug policy; I have even gone there to get help with yard work, fed them, and gave them some cash; others in the community do the same.
