Raising Seabass

More progress pictures. Slowly but surely we’re getting there.
Also, fun side note. I was able to swap the 14 bolt with drum brakes for one with disc brakes. So no need for disc brake conversion now.

Rear axle almost complete. Gears and locker are in. Cleaning up the hubs and it’ll be ready for final assembly and install.
On the front, we pressed in new ball joints and got the knuckles and tie rod assembled. It just needs gears and locker installed and it will also be ready for final assembly and install.

Got the front axle geared and wrapped up this weekend. It’s all ready to go.
Rear just needs cut for the ABS sensor and it will be completely wrapped up.

The rig is mostly there now. Bled the brakes and fabbed up the drag link. We knew we’d run into track bar clearance issues, which we did. So it’s maiden voyage was limited to a lap around the property as not to smash the diff cover.
I was pretty excited just to see it move on the 40’s and feel the difference of the gears and transfer case. To say I was happy is quite an understatement.
We still need to solve the track bar issue. So if anyone has crossed this bridge before, please share your wisdom. Once we can get that hurdle cleared, we can cycle suspension and run air lines and it will be time for a shakedown run.
