Rabbit Holes 🐇

and there's this:
"Surprising no one, perhaps, none of the Bigfoot spotters have managed to snap a photo — despite the ubiquity of high-resolution cameras on modern smartphones"

I'm willing to bet if bigfoot would've been holding a can of beer, there would've been a lot of pics.

I can see it now, another season of Hunting Bigfoot announced...

The Bigfoot deal is so hard to pin down. Like the UFO shit probably 80-95% of the sightings can be explained off but there are a few incidents some that make you look twice.

True story I've not shared with anyone but my daughter: About 2-3 years ago us two were on a trip in our Allegheny mountains where we go several times during the year to get on the old trails through the mountains and its a wilderness area. No cell coverage, no radio. Perfect. There is an area way back off of one of the trails that was strip mined years ago that's now a fun play area with some fun climbs and such. I was out of my Jeep watching her drive around and I heard this really sharp knock. It sounded exactly like an old baseball movie when they use the sound effects to mimic the bat hitting the ball - like really a sharp knock. Like this:
And I was like, you gotta be fucking kidding me. My phones in the Jeep a hundred yards away and I hear this goddam knock that sounds exactly like the clips I've heard online that folks claim is Bigfoot. So I'm waiting for it to happen again but instead of where the first knock came from I hear a response 180 degrees from where the first one came from. I swear I'm not making this shit up. From there I listened to whatever the hell this was go back and forth and then changed from one knock to two knocks each response. Once that happened I whistled for her to meet up and listen to this shit. I gotta tell ya, I was getting pretty spooked at that point. The cadence started to pick up between the two and we just fucking booked outta there at that point. Never saw anything and If I had to guess it was within 75-100 yards away. Funny, this is the kind of shit I was always scared of when I started hunting when I was 11.

Go ahead, make fun and laugh. I probably would too. But I literally grew up in those mountains. I know the whole area and hunted/fished/trapped all through there. That was not natural and something made those noises. It wasn't by accident or acorns falling. I've not heard it before or after and like I said, we go there several times a year. I can't explain it and have no idea what it was, but I wouldn't be disappointed if I never hear it again.....
