New Design Provides Maximum Protection for Vulnerable Rocker Panels and Pinch Seams

Suwanee, Ga. (February 23, 2016) – Rugged Ridge®, a leading manufacturer of high quality Jeep®, truck and off-road accessories, today announced the introduction of its new XHD Rock Sliders for the 2007-2016 Jeep Wrangler JK, designed to provide maximum protection for the Jeep’s most vulnerable points – the lower rocker panel and pinch seam.

The innovative one-piece design is precision manufactured from CNC-laser cut 3-mm steel plate and finished with a tough black textured coating. Each Rock Slider also features an integrated four-inch step to help making climbing in and out Jeeps easier, especially with lifted vehicles. The Rock Sliders are designed to function with most aftermarket and stock fender flares.

Easy to install, the XHD Rock Sliders give Jeep owners the option to mount them without drilling into the vehicle body, or for the ultimate in protection, secure using heavy duty rivnuts (drilling required). To protect your vehicle's finish, rubber gaskets are utilized to cover and protect the paint and body panels along the door sill areas.

These are held in place with your existing Body Mount bolts, and further secured with 4 smaller bolts to the sides.

Installation Instructions (PDF Document).

1. Clean surface of rocker panel to ensure its is free of dust, dirt, and debris.

2. Remove the 2 body-mount bolts from one side of the vehicle using an 18mm Socket Wrench.

NOTE: If body mount bolt spins but does not unthread, use a prybar to apply downward force on top of large washer.

Only remove body mount bolts from one side of the vehicle at a time.

Vehicle is on flat, level surface, in park, with emergency brake engaged. Do not attempt to move the vehicle when body mounts are removed.

4. Re-apply blue thread locker and re-install the 2 body mount bolts from step 1. Use a torque Wrench to tighten body mount bolts to 80 ft/lbs.

Repeat steps 1 - 4 for other side of vehicle.

The same way the rubi rails are mounted. It looks to be a rubi rail that is a little wider, in theory.

They're ok however, for THAT price, there is no way id buy them over these
