Yeah the FJ's would rock with a solid front axle. The ifs is def the achilles heel of the platform, you can make it work but it takes a lot of effort and expense.

For basic wheelin it is similar to a stock jeep, has added bonus of rear elocker stock. It absolutely needs the locker due to quite limited articulation. It is larger and lower than a jeep and the mods required to run decent size tires are extensive. A cool truck but def a fair bit more effort to make it how most of us want them to be. I would own one.

Rule, whats up gotta do some wheelin!

Thanks guys we def have some fun, and where we wheel is about an hour north of NYC. Not to mislead anyone this is a very small area, it's just my backyard. We have just about 4 miles of trails so this def aint Rousch Creek haha. We work hard to keep it fun, clean, and private as the nearest legal wheelin is several hours away and quite expensive. The prop my homes sits on used to be a farm so after a hundred years of no maintenance the old farm roads make great jeep trails. The old abandoned train tunnel works great as a meeting point and bbq area as it stays dry and is easy to heat even in the dead of winter.

I'm on Long Island but def down to hit those trails this summer

Been building a little rok garden on a hill. Don't laugh westcoasters...its tougher than it looks a the rocks are spaced to catch both axles at the same time and the incline is pretty steep.

I'm in LI also.. my backyard is a 30x100 strip of flat grass so 4miles of trails is pretty much paradise. Rausch is almost 4hrs door to door for me so it makes my wheeling trips a little less frequent...

Haha, see your point. Lived in a townhouse for a few years so I hear ya! Now if I walk straight out my front door it takes a half mile walk before I reach the end of my "yard".

awesome.. let me know when you are down for some wheeling.. I work in manhattan so I wouldn't mind a few runs after work!

Were pretty consistant at every other weekend, next Saturday is our next wheel day. If your rig is stock the basic trails will give you a good feel for what it can do, if modded the obstacles will get some some nice "pucker factor" going for you. Pm for address whenever youre ready for a go.

mrmet, more than welcome to stop by and wheel. We have several "Islanders" that come up for wheelin.
