I bet she’s a a real freak in the bedroom. If she eats boogers, she’s not shy.

Had a conference call last year where one of the mods forgot to disable her camera and we all got to see her pick & eat a booger. :cheesy:
In all fairness, I did feel bad for her because of all who saw it.
But then I laughed my ass off again
The misuse of PPE (Personal Protect Equipment) and cleaners! I understand everyone is on edge and and wanting to be safe these days, but its driving me crazy seeing all these people with gloves on shopping and doing all the normal things they would do without gloves. ie...using their phones, grabbing their wallets, touching their faces, grabbing car door handles, etc. Today during my bi monthly Costco trip. I'm watching people wearing gloves, touch everything then touch their stuff. The big problem with this is I feel most may be pulled into a false sense of security which could lead them to not washing their hands after. Being a firefighter glove use is second nature to me. I put on a set do what I need to do then take them off before I touch anything I may come into contact with with out them. People don't get that just because its not on their hands, the outside of the gloves touching other surfaces they come into contact with contaminates that surface. If they then touch that surface, they may not have worn gloves at all. It's very frustrating seeing this sense of false security. Best practice is to wash your hands frequently and don't touch your personal stuff or your face or other mucous membranes at all possible before doing so.
Also the use of lysol wipes does not immediately disinfect a surface. If you read the directions right on the back of the canister is says for disinfection it requires the surface to remain wet for 10 minutes. Most times it evaporates within a couple minutes. There is nothing better than good ol fashioned bleach. Adding a half cup to 1 gallon of water makes 4-32oz spray bottles. Sure it will fade your colors but you're usually disinfecting high touch areas such as counters, light switches, remote controls, cell phones, door handles, etc. These things will hardly be affected by the bleaching properties yet work within 30 seconds to 1 minute vs. 10 minutes of lysol or other disinfecting wipes.
People keep yourself and your family safe out there. Do your own reputable research on best practices. Don't listen to Facebook or the news. Sure there are some good things out there, but don't take it all as gospel.
Ok end rant.

I mean I do understand everyone's concern and worry during this unprecedented time. I wish they just understood the why and how to do it correctly not just because everyone else is.I’ve seen the same and had the same thoughts and frustration. Thanks for posting that up and giving great down to Earth point of view from someone that lives it everyday prior to these lovely times.

To put it in perspective you could put on gloves and go pick up dog shit in your backyard with your hands and not get it on you. When your wife calls you in for lunch your not going to grab that grilled pastrami on rye with pickles and mustard with your dog shit covered gloved hands. You're going to take them off as carefully as possible not to get any on you and wash your hands. Same practice should be used when you're touching public surfaces with invisible shit on them before grabbing your cell phone, itching your nose, or eating that pastrami sandwich.

Realistically you would need to clean everything you brought to your home before even bringing it into your house or designate an area to put it and clean it as you put it away. We humans are disgusting creatures and always touching things. This is also why we developed immunities as well as vaccines. If we didn't severe illness and death would be common place. Just look at the average age of people prior to understanding germs, vaccination, and modern medicine. What about when you get all that germie shit home?

Here is a video demonstrating exactly what I was talking about. And it was released well before COVID-19.

Hit and run drivers!
Yesterday my wife and I were sitting at a red light when I heard skidding tires behind me. I looked into the rear view mirror and saw a car coming up on us. I tried to get it in gear and begin moving so she didn't hit us. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough and had just began to roll forward when she hit us. The light turned green and she pulled up along side of us and said "I'm sorry". I motioned for her to stop up ahead. She put on her turn signal and I though she was going to. She then proceeded through a red light and took off. Due to the weather visibility was low and I lost her. My wife did get pics of her car and plate number. So I'm filing a report today. (No deputies available yesterday) There is minor damage to our car but realistically i want her caught for her stupidity. I'm assuming she had no insurance or no license which is why she ran. Now today my wife is having some minor neck pain too.

It was non-injury and minor damage. It was really non-emergency and just wanted to file a report. I'm doing that via counter report now.No deputies available for a hit and run.
