Peacock Flats. Oahu, HI

Wow these are such awesome pics! Now I not only want to go back to Hawaii really badly but now I want to figure out how to justify bringing the jeep into the budget! haha great pictures!

I am digging the Brute. Is this on island?

Hell's Revenge Car Wash 1.jpg

No...it's in Seattle, where I have another place...and that was an old pic of her...she looks different now.

I used to go to Peacocks many, many years ago...but I'm just not into the mud anymore. I remember when they were building residential homes on all the major ridges on Oahu 30-40 years ago...it provided some of the best wheeling in HI...but not anymore.

I think the best wheeling is still on the outer islands, like Lanai & Big Isle...

Is that picture from Hells Revenge or Fins? I'm heading to Kauai later this month. Unfortunately, the ferry is no longer running so I can't bring my Jeep.

Hells Revenge...that's the beauty of having a rig on the mainland and access to the best wheeling in America...Rubicon this August!...but not in the Brute, my JK6...

I miss the ferry...I took my family from Oahu to camp in Kipahulu, just south of Hana for a 3 day weekend...it was fabulous. The leaders of our state just don't get it...we are a multi-island state, and we don't have a ferry system. WA, on the other hand, has multiple ferries to various islands, and they run like clockwork. Granted, the channels between the HI Isles can be much rougher than Puget Sound...but we had a good working ferry for awhile...

I had the opportunity to live in Colorado with access to beautiful CO and UT trails. I also lived in Tacoma for a few years and used the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria. That is a beautiful part of the country with some amazing camping near Rainer.

Not many people get to see what island off-roading looks like so I thought I would share a few pictures of our trip to Peacock flats this weekend.

That looks like an awesome wheeling trip! Great trails and view. Thanks for sharing!
