Patagonia Tires - I didn't buy them because of social media

Not for nothing I've got a set of 35" Patagonia 02's on my Jeep. Lol. That said I didn't but them because of social media. They are quiet and perform well at everything I've put them through so far.

Please note that this conversation was started in another thread and was moved out being that it had nothing to do with the original.

Glad to hear you’re happy with what you chose to buy. I personally don’t know anyone who’s been able to balance them or get them to wear evenly and from what I have personally seen, they just flat out suck on the trail.

I've got almost 30k on this set and the balance is spot on no matter the speed. All 4 are wearing great and have done well on all types of terrain. Sand, mud, rocks. Satisfied so far. Don't worry though I will let y'all know if that changes.

LOL - Trust me, I'm hardly what you would call worried and like I said before, glad to hear you’re happy with what you chose to buy. Certainly, it would totally suck if you weren't.

No way did I ever think anybody would be worried on here. Maybe that came out the wrong way Eddie but if for some reason things were to change I'd post up about my thoughts at that point. They have done as well so far. Actually I like them better than my Ridge Grapplers on the Tundra.

From what I have personally seen and the friends I have who've tested them out would all say the exact opposite. That said, I'm quite sure I've heard you loud and clear - you're really happy with what you chose to buy and once again, good for you (y)

I don't see or hear about them nearly as much as I did back when they first came out and pretty much all the original whores who were pimping them have since upgraded to different tires so I doubt they're still giving them away. Last I heard, prices on them were up as well.

I had the original Pat M/Ts on my JL in a ~35" size (measured 34 1/4"). And they balanced just fine. But... they were fucking scary on the pavement in the rain. The rear end would randomly let lose in corners. And there was basically no braking traction on wet pavement. That said, though, they were pretty good if you aired down off road.
When I put a lift on the jeep 2 years ago and decided to go with 37s I got some bad advice about how the new Pat M/T 02s were soooo much better. They actually were better in the rain on pavement. But I couldn't get them balanced at all. I also found them to dig in to the snow way too much which left me stuck way too often. I ended up selling them and getting a 37" A/T tire that floats pretty darn well in the snow.
And, yes, the new Pats are as expensive or more expensive than other name-brand M/T tires the same size. If they were still at the original price point they might be worth it for a rig that is not a daily. But not at the current price.
