So Panda and I have been talking and the weekend of the 15th is his b-day weekend. He really would like to take a trip up the rubicon, so I told him I would take him, as of now we are planning on going. Im pretty sure crippledpetey will be going also. If anyone else would like to come let us know
 
I am down for whatever my only concern is weather. That area is expecting snow this week and it still had ice from the last storm. This won't be too much of an issue if we are not going through big sluice or exiting cadillac hill. Let's just plan and keep checking :thumb:
 
I hope for the sake of California that there is too much snow for you to even make it to look lake. But have fun.
 
I was there this weekend, it was crazy how little snow there was. Just patches here and there. Be careful if you take Wentworth springs road (the paved section), there are still some VERY icy patches. The morning we went up, there was a full size pick up that slid off the road and hit a tree. the truck was destroyed and apparently the driver had to get a helicopter ride to the hospital. We went in through Loon Lake to the new bridge then back out Wentworth. I wouldnt mind going, but i have to work that day, have fun and happy birthday!

Right now who is planning on going and when we thinking if getting there? Our best bet would to be meet up early that Saturday to get a jump on it.

I'm down ;). We are off school Friday so will prob head up Friday night and get a room so we can sleep in ;). Is the plan to stay sat night somewhere or drive back? If saying, where were you all thinking?

Really it's your trip :yup: but my suggestion would be start early since you never know what tricks the trail might bring :) your rig should do fine just never know who else is out there.
