We got there just in time to see a ship exit the lock…after they closed the lock doors, they began to pump the water into the adjacent lock so the last ship of the day could transit
The “mules” returning…they keep the ships centered in the lock with cables while moving through the lock…back in the early days, they were actually mules
We landed on that arrow…I thought we were going in the water…Outside of landing in puddles and rivers in Alaska, this was the shortest and most narrow of landing strips I’ve been in…and we needed every inch
