I came home from the hospital in a 1965 Mustang (brand new) not a seat belt in the car.
My first car was a 1963 Pontiac Catalina, 389 with tripower, not a seat belt in the car, could lay down flat in the back seat, could fit a double size mattress in the trunk, ahhhhh, the good old days.
True story, kid down the street was riding in the back of a pickup, fell out but managed to get up. He was hurt but overall okay. And that's when he got hit by an RV and died.
