Old School Cool

Now this is a place and time that I really miss. A time before the internet and when finding really unique, cool new music was just a listening station away at our local Virgin Megastore.

Ahhh, there were many Friday nights that Cindy and I spent here after a long week of work and followed by a dinner out and typically a movie. too.

Fortunately, Cindy and I kept ours and it's a lot. Back then (like 10-15 years back from the Virgin Megastore), our go to shop was a place called Middle Earth Records.

Although, there were other shops across California that we frequented as well including Moby Disc Records

And Boo Boos Records

There were plenty more but most are long gone and I can't find any trace of them anymore.

There used to be record stores in each one the towns here (oddly, a lot of them also sold wigs - weird)
The big chain used to be National Record Mart that started in Pittsburgh a long time ago.

Seemed like it was always a big deal going the record store and hanging out for hours with friends, great place to socialize.
