Off road trailers

I have a small 4x6 utility trailer and a welder at my disposal, im currently contemplating lifting it a bit and adding some larger tires along with a storage box up front and a removable rack over the top of the trailer to mount a roof top tent. I intend to use this to haul my four wheeler for riding/camping trips. Does anyone have a similar setup i can get some inspiration from?

Mine is a surplus military trailer. I plan on doing similar with. Next is building the rack.

Seems like a few months ago I saw a thread where a guy lifted his trailer successfully to tow behind his wrangler and it looked pretty sick.
 
I plan on starting a trailer project this spring, hopefully in time for a summer expedition of sorts cross country. Ive contemplated building my own little trailer frame and everything but I think that I'm going to use the back half of a wrecked TJ/YJ/CJ to build it. My plan is to use the suspension the jeep already has and modify the sport bars to be lower and accept a rooftop tent. I got slot of inspiration from just searching goolgle.

I love that idea of using an existing jeep frame. I've thought about doing the same thing. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with
 
Here is one I just sold. It was built off an M416 chassis. The box frame was welded directly to the trailer frame, then enclosed in sheet metal. The rack is also custom made. All seams were sealed with an automotive sealant. Depending on where I go when I leave Hawaii, I may get another one in the future. Came in handy plenty of times while camping, fishing and just hauling crap around!

Here is mine.You would not be able to put ATV in the back but you could raise the rack.

Wow, I never see Knox trailers. Nice camping set up. I bought my 1952 Knox from my dad in the 80's when I had a Willy's 1948 CJ2A and painted it to match the Jeep. I sold the Willy's many years ago and now tow it behind my 2012 Wrangler (my 2nd jeep). I have not changed anything on it since I did all the work to match the old Willy's.

Pretty simple and cheap "build". $200 for the used trailer. $30 for a set of 3" lifting blocks. $40 for a set of 1.5" wheel spacers (so the wheels would clear the frame). $75 for two used 17x9 Pro Comp wheels. $50 for two used 285/70 MTR's. $100 for the used Yakima racks. $20 for a set of longer u-bolts. Bought everything off Craigslist and bolted it all together. Had to cut the fenders off to clear the tires.

I like it and it does everything I need it to do. Mostly beach trips with the occasional camping trip.

Here is my Trailer Project Still working on it, it was a S-10 Box and a rusty CJ-7 , i built the frame from 3x2 tube and used a gutted dana 35
