Off road trailer build

Saw something similar to this on another forum and the coolest part was how the guy bent conduit into a shape then welded it in place to make a rack to carry his jku hard top and doors

And the build begins!!!

This is us pulling the trailer into the garage and cutting off the excessive hydraulic brake system. This front section weight 200 pounds!!!

Trailer is now level and ready for the spring over axle lift!!

That just means you never have to worry about weight.

Are you going back to a pintle hitch or going with a ball?

Exactly!!!

We are staying with the pintle hitch, but going from a heavy duty 6.5" diameter ring to a 5" diameter ring. No need for the excess weight.

Hang on to that swing away front jack. I used that one on mine. Lets me open the tail gate. Looks good.
I'm working on one too. A lot of fun.

Have you looked at some of the hitches the manufactures use on their trailers, they use a urathane where the pintle bolts to the reach. It allows it to flex and twist on the trail, I think it acts a little like a compensator on the hwy to so you don't get as much bucking.

If you don't push the limits how do you find them??
