Why anyone would continue to consider a semi-float aftermarket axle is beyond me. It's literally the dumbest idea for an accessory for a Jeep other than the retarded angry eyes grills and stupid ass ducks. People with real experience with SF rears are dogging you on this because of that. It's literally putting lipstick on a pig.

While I’d didn’t see his original thread of the rear axles issue, This is kinda funny, you can spend 1k bucks on your stock rear axle to beef it up before it breaks, or 6k on an axles that’s essentially the same when your running 37s and mild horsepower, or 8500 on a UD60 rear that you’d never have to worry about. Prices just don’t match up regardless of money to burn.

Pretty much. Much like you, I have personally gone down that stupid path and found it to be a BIG waste of time and money. God forbid that anyone with actual experience would try and HELP others from making the same dumb mistake.

Just found it..asked for advice, got lots advice against, then asked one last time about it with an axle company no one else on the planet has heard of then got butt hurt with the same answers. Weird situation for sure..
LOL - that's about it in a nutshell

One of my favorite moments was when Dynatrac came out with the “profloat” 60. They wouldn’t list the price online because it was the same as their actual full float 60. 😂

Wow, you are kind of a whiney baby.

This is why forums are dying, a dude asks some questions. All the "cool" kids get butt hurt. Welcome back to 2001.

I've never broken any axles on anything other than u-joints and CV-joints in Land Cruisers.

I don't normally break anything. I'm not going to go bigger than 37" tires. I'm not out there trying to be the cool guy, I could care less. Just out there enjoying 4 wheeling with the family. I want a small upgrade, I really don't need 60's so I can look like captain cool driving to the mall. Seems like that's what this forum is all about. LOL

I guess the extra price is in new wheels, steering, driveshafts, psc etc in going with full float 60’s front and rear. With the profit you can keep everything the same. Not advocating for it but….
Oh there's definitely a big difference in going full on full floats. I was meaning more so comparing just the two rears but you are correct. You would be surprised (or probably not) at how many people want to go semi float just to avoid buying new wheels.
