Its almost done, but I'm stuck on the emissions..vac...its all orig.. 4.2 AMC , hunting rubber 33s, and recommendations

I have an intact 1980 CJ7. Please note that California smog is a bitch to get around and it failed twice before I went to Howell’s throttle body EFI. The system comes with the required CARB # and it past first time with no issues. I started off with all the original emissions equipment and it ran like shit and failed.

My plan was to keep it stock, but others also told me how difficult passing smog will become.

Welcome to Wayalife from LB, I had to rebuild my carb every two years in my 86 CJ7 then take it to a shop and pay them extra to tune it to pass then limp it to a smog only shop, then tune it back so it would run properly. It was a PAIN. I was saving for the F.I. but sold the jeep. Good luck, Nice CJ5

Thanks, I want to keep it stock, everythings original... Even the numbers match.. Only the Rancho suspension is aftermarket..
If the smog fails, I may keep it in Parker.. as in Parker AZ.
