So if I have one sub for my speakers and one for my subs, do I wire the amps together as one or individually to the head unit?
Edit: I got a real good deal on the Power Acoustik Stax serious amps, the 1600/4 channel amp and the mono amp and here that you can connect them
You would run the power to a distribution block and then to the individual amps. You can do the same thing, essentially, for the "turn on" (actual name escapes me right now) wire. You would have to run RCA's from the head unit to the amps for not only subs, but the front and rear speakers. Then you'll have to run speaker wire to your speakers.

You can ignore the capacitor though
Depending on the sub and the size of amp, I would disagree with you here. The capacitor can really help the system out as a whole.
True it would but it would just add a danger in a jeep I believe those things store a lot of electricity and in a topless vehicle I wouldn't think that'd be the best option, the best option would be an alternator Upgrade but that's very expensive, my 500 watt sub amp handles well without a capacitor but it would probably be a lot better with one
But if the sub is under 500 I feel like it will handle fine
Very true, but this is also the reason wi personally don't see a reason to put a big stereo in a Jeep.
I just installed the Insane Audio head unit and I can say it is badass! It fits just like a factory unit with no mods. Comes with onroad and offroad navigation and has a ton of other features. I haven't tested the off-road maps yet but I will next weekend.
Haha yeah I like my music though
Haha I might need it since I have 2 3000 watt sub's with a 5500 watt amp lol
I like my music too, but the top end stock stereo is pretty damn good for stock. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of bass anymore. I prefer to actually hear my music.
