Looking good Dave! Polks are what I plan to install when my stock speakers blow
Interested in how these speakers perform. Is there that much of a difference? How bout with the doors off & top down?
I don't even bother with my radio running doorless. Maybe these will do the trick?
LOL - you don't have to wait for them to blow - they blow coming right from the factory! :cheesy:
Looking good so far!

Thanks dude
I'm happy with them for the price. Not sure if you can see from the pic, but the magnet on the factory Alpine's is slightly larger than the Polk so I wasn't sure how that would impact the midrange. The Polk's are much clearer and I contribute that to the built in tweeter, which the Alpine is lacking. They do have a low-pass filter built in so they're definitely not meant to produce any low end. That's why I'm glad I'm upgrading my sub to handle those frequencies. I'm curious how much better they'd be if they could get more watts pushed to them, but I keep telling myself it's a Jeep and it's really not worth the money.
I'm actually pretty happy with the stock fronts and Polk rear combo. The sound is clear enough that you can still hear the music with the top and doors off (tested that today on the way to work). I've just got to extend the factory wires for the sub and I can get that buttoned up and back in the Jeep.
Thanks for the update. I've got the standard speakers as I just got the basic AM/FM/CD radio. Sometimes wish I would have upgraded there & got the Nav version. I would think those Polks would be a decent upgrade over what I have. Price looks right - $63.95 on Amazon for the pair.

Forecast is sun for the next 5 days so this happened!
Those door hinge liners sure are nice. Glad I picked those up.
Like the setup for the doors - I wish I had some kind of wall space to do this but I have too many office cabinets. Might have to rearrange to do this during the summer months.
Looks good! Does your feet hit it at all there? I'm looking to do an extinguisher up front, and was thinking of one that mounts to the side of the seat so it's out of the way until I need it. I like the mount you have and am just curious if it gets in the way at all there?
Congrats on the carrier. Was it difficult to remove sub and where did you get the factory side piece from?
