My Daily Rubi build

while checking for oil leaks i observed crank pulley vibrating (sorry if it not a pulley, not sure what it is called) its the big one on the bottom center on the engine. its not a big shake but a small vibration, is it normal or i should look at it a little be more.
trying to post a video of it but having problem with youtube

Harmonic Balancer is the name, but pulley works too since they are integrated together. If you were to cut this part in half axially, you would see a steel hub that mounts on the crank shaft with a layer of rubber fused to the hub and then the steel pulley fused around the rubber. By design the outer pulley is meant to shake which absorbs and dissipates crank shaft vibrations. In my opinion, the vibration you have is normal and probably looks worse in the video than what it really is. That being said, I'm not a certified mechanic so if it makes you uncomfortable then have it checked out.

Hard to tell from the video but it looks like it's walking around a little bit. check the bonded rubber ring that joins the inner hub to the outer pulley. If it looks heavily cracked or is protruding out from between the 2 you might have a problem otherwise I wouldn't worry about it. When they go bad it is generally very obvious.

thanks guys for the help, i ended up going to the dealer at 8am today to check it out and they said it was pretty normal for jeeps. though i was gonna be there all day but was in and out, even had time to was the babies before work.

For the street, no. I never drive around with my spare and quite frankly, I like the look a lot better.
