My assembling of Mr. Potato Head

I went ahead and mounted on the passenger side under the glovebox, I may end up relocating out adding an external speaker but this geeky like a good starting point for me and my first cb radio.

Bonus, found a bunch of stuff crammed behind the glovebox from the previous owner, including an awesome CD we can jam on the trails at our upcoming wheeling trip!

I went with a 3" with a quick disconnect, I'm going to swing by the post office tomorrow to see if they can help out.

In my experience I've found that I highly dislike using USPS. I've had situations where I've shipped auto parts and they've lost my stuff for two weeks and then it randomly turns up in a different state. Hope you get some answers!

And I went with a 2 inch this time around.. I'm lazy and like to leave my Antenna on all the time. A 2 allows me to do that even with my garage.

If I had my way I wouldn't have used USPS, all of the other items came FedEx or UPS and showed up 2 days after I ordered (Thanks Amazon)

I thought I might be cutting it close with the 3' antenna, and if it ends up being a clearance issue I'm not against going to a shorter one so we'll see....if it ever shows up, that is!

Nice build so far :thumb:

Nice build! Love a 2 door!

Thanks guys! It's a slow process, but with every little thing that I do to it makes me love it that much more.

Wellllllllllll.......

My Firestik finally showed up today, and as soon as I unboxed it I realized that I forgot to order the terminal to connect the antenna to the coax :banghead:

So I placed an order for that piece today, should be here Monday or Tuesday so I can finish what has turned out to be the longest CB Radio install in history.

Glad I'm not the only one who waaay underestimated how long it would take.

Finally got all of my CB components in place

Changed the antenna set up around a little bit, and add my WAL decals. Can't believe how quickly they showed up.

I like what you did with the antenna, and the decals look good.

What I don't like is to see your top back on :)

I kinda dig it too, get the combo of having the longer antenna and still being able to get in the garage.

And the top was only on so I could wash it. Gotta have a clean canvas for those decals!

Rest assured it will be back off before long.

Went on her maiden wheeling voyage this weekend with some more of the Texas WAL guys, had an absolute blast and looking forward to the next time

Washed half of east Texas out from under the Jeep today.

Looks like it got plenty of belly scratches this weekend.

Been battling with the site to add a photo, so here's a picture of my new Or-Fab/LOD Hybrid DIY Trail Rack.

Needed somewhere to hold the cooler on the trails

Finally bit the bullet and ordered the EVO level to swap out from these stiff springs I scooped from a 4door JKUR.

Hopefully make this heap a little more road worthy, if not then it might be time to start upgrading steering components.
