I do like Classical and Jazz music. I have to wear earphone as its not my wifes favorite. Of course if she goes out I can blast.
My other favorites John Hiatt, Traveling Wilburies, Ray Orbison, The Band and of course old Bob classics, Dire Straits, Richard Shindell, Boz Scaggs,
Allman Brothers, Huey Lewis and the News, Van Morrison, Joe Cocker, Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin and the list goes on. Good country music like Toby Keith.
I've been listening to JD McPherson's Christmas album, "Socks".
We saw JD when he opened for Plant & Krauss last Spring. He was also their lead guitarist for their show.
I like his Rockabilly old school rock n roll style.
Worth checking the history behind this one and how much influence this guy had. Started a genre. Radio stations in the late 50's refused to play it because it was too radical. Think Reefer Madness...
Lots of Pennywise and other 80'-90's punk. NoFX will be doing their farewell tour next year. It's wild to see how most of these guys look today but sound exactly the same as I picture them in my head.
