While I love the Bishop area, it's biggest problem is being in kali. Glad you got out, don't forget why

I'll only go to kali for short visits now. You probably know this, but they've spent the last 20-30 years or so closing trails a piece at a time.

Yep, with no legitimate reason either. They closed the Chimney Peak loop north of Lake Isabella years ago. Messed up both hunting & trail riding. Closed half of our trails we used for hunting in the Scodie mountains too. All these were hundred years old trails, developed for vehicles. Closed them anyway, then declared them to be "Wilderness"!
