Mizpah Hotel and Belmont Courthouse visit

Took the family on a trip to do some ghost hunting at the Mizpah and then take a tour of the Belmont Courthouse.

Inspired by our previous Wayalife trips we have stayed at the Mizpah a few times. We recently decided to go back and take a ghost hunting tour of the hotel and visit some of the surrounding areas. I like to think of this trip as a Nevada trip given it was on fall break. Vegas, Tonopah, Belmont…all within a few days.

Started off with a Golden Knights game...I’ll see if I can edit later…if not here are some pics…

If you haven't taken this trip, you should. So much to take in.

Thanks for turning us on to exploring this great state. I've seen more of Nevada since I've meet you than I did my whole life growing up here!

Looks like a lot of fun. What's the story on that old wooden hangar?

From memory (you can google it for more info)...it is one of two (maybe three) hangers standing that were used in WWII. They were part of the Tonopah Army Air Field. Interesting connection between the airbase and Belmont Courthouse...a lot of the signatures and inscriptions on the walls of the courthouse were from the soldiers stationed on the base.

Thanks for the pica I drive buy that hanger about every other month and I never knew you could drive up to it. And ha e always wanted to. That area has alot of history I will definitely check it out next time I'm in the area. Thanks again

When we head up to ID next month we hope to stay at the Mitzpah and see some of the things you shared. Only reason I know about these things because of Wayalife.
