Miller jeep trail 5/11/13

Thanks Paychex. Lots of time and money spent getting to where we are, my lady and I have done all the work on our own. This is our first Jeep and its been a huge learning curve up to this point, cant wait to see whats next...

like is said in another thread, i think the learning is part of the appeal!!! well done so far!

Thanks Rubicrawl!! i had to test her before this weekend...

BTW what are you doing about doors and top this weekend? the weather is really odd, the weather channel says nice but its gonna be muddy and sloppy hopefully..;) it will add to the difficulty of the trail since it really isnt that difficult when its dry. i've never ran it muddy so it will be a change for me. i think im still gonna be bikini top and full doors for the drive up then drop doors. mud in the jeep=funny to watch passengers whine about getting dirty...:cheesy: 2 of my passengers are new to the offroad/Jeep world and have never been out wheeling so i might have to get them muddy to take their "mud virginity" what do you think?

Might leave the doors on but top off since I have a soft top I can always leave on or off but doors it all depends on weather sat morning I don't think it will be that muddy just cause the dry dirt is going to soak up the water right away but if there's mudd more fun :)

Which Camp Ground?

--CHANNEL 16 is the WOL default channel.

--IS THERE A PLACE WE CAN LEAVE OUR DOORS? I have a 16foot chain and lock I usually use, but that's only for areas I trust. any input?

I will have a campground set up where I will be leaving my doors and there are trees to lock doors to and first come first serve on a tent to put your doors in....everyone is more than welcome to leave doors at my camp site, there isnt a lot of traffic near the campground I stay at because it is way off the main road up against a mountain.[/QUOTE]

--I'm supposed to meeting up with Rossi and the rest of you. I'm going to be coming up Friday after work and need to know what the name of the site is. I'm thinking if all goes well I'll be on site around 9pm

The camp site is called "Circle Canyon" when you get into Gorman we will be on channel 16 on your cb radio so try to get us on there. I will pm you my phone number but cell service is 50/50 up there so we will keep an eye out for you and a spot at the camp site for your tent and jeep. If you need more info or have any questions feel free to call me before the trip and on Friday I will check my voicemail every hour or so at the top of the hour after I get to Gorman. So if I don't answer just leave a message and I will get back to you

glad i just looked at the first page. thought we were meeting at 9am. not 8am:doh: which is it? first post says both..
gotta get my cb finished up and my oba mounted before sat morning...ugh

Sorry For The Long Message....

Ok so an update for those of you heading up on Friday. I will be placing an American Flag at the turn-off from the main road that leads to the campsite I will have set up for my group (name of site "Circle Canyon") but if anyone wants to join us there is plenty of space (and Honey:honey:) to go around, I will monitor channel 16 on the CB radio with channel 27 as an alternate if 16 has a lot of traffic on it, beings how its a Friday and can get kinda busy up in Gorman. My handle on the CB given to me before my WAYALIFE days has always been "Honey Badger" for running Miller Jeep trail as a purely bone stock JKU X with my old four wheeling group. If anyone who doesn't have my # already and will be heading up on Friday and wants to link up just send me a PM with your # and I will call you as soon as I get the message. (which is pretty fast as it goes straight to my phone). Cell service is spotty in the park but I will be checking it frequently for other WAYALIFER's who I have previously spoken to. I will be arriving (based on traffic) in Gorman around 4pm. I know, I wish it was earlier but due to some work related issues my group wont be able to arrive before that. We are leaving the Simi Valley area at 2:30pm if anyone else is on the road in that general area we can meet up and convoy together as i will already have about 3-4 Jeeps with me for the drive up. Drive safe everyone and see y'all soon!!

62°

Sat May 11

84°
67°

Yup, the doors are coming off
