You don’t need 3 inches for those tires. They are considered a 33. If you are going 35, or larger, your list looks pretty good. For those tires, an inexpensive budget boost (spacer lift) is fine. You could do that, and save your coin for your list, for later.

I keep forgetting that the Recon is already about a inch taller than a Sport, so installing a 3" lift must likely will only give me 2 - 2 1/2". Also going from 31 to 37 will rise the Jeep by only 3" assuming the 37 is really 37.

My recon is white too!! but a 2 door instead.

My concern is parking garages in Boston and NYC. I often have to do day trips to measure a space for work and don't want to limit my parking options, especially in the winter.

First; I'm willing to go 35 if I can fit them on my stock rims. I'm probably going to stay with my stock 32s until I save up. I'm a little sad that it'll look goofy with a 3" lift but . . .

Second; Here's my problem, and I'm truly looking for some educated input. Can I run a spacer lift that will give me clearance for 34s, increase my on road handling quality, and give me a worth while bump off-road. I have been agonizing for the past week trying to justify the EVO Enforcer lift in the spirit of "doing it right the first time". I've certainly considered your point with the spacer lift but don't even know where to begin in terms of doing something better than just making room for bigger tires. It's a recon, I've seen stock Rubicons run very nicely, if that's all I wanted, I'd just keep it as is, I want a little bit more.

I need some hand holding here. Someone please, make a comprehensive list that I can just buy and watch some youtube to install.
 
You can clear 33s with no lift. If you go to 35s you only need 2"

The EVO 3" will get you 4" on a 2 door... Those tires will look small and you're gonna be higher than you're planning.

I might recommend a Rancho 2" sport lift or even just an EVO leveling kit for those tires.

On mine, I installed 2" EVO coils up front and OME 2" coils in the rear when I first got her and, with those same size tires, she still looked like a fat chick with skinny ankles. I went to 35s as soon as I was able.

The skids are way overkill. You can buy the Evo Protek skids for $400. I have a 2” spacer lift and 35s does fine. And only cost $200. Granted I’ll change eventually but if you want to hang onto the stock tires for a bit or not drop all the money at once this won’t set you back too much and still get the job done.

I might have understood it wrong but I thought the 2 door needs the stage 3 for adjust-ability. The shorter wheelbase amplifies any ill-effects from a lift way more than a 4 door.

That EVO MFG link isn't loading properly. might be Firefox blocking shit.

If you stay at 3"and below, you can get away without the arms and the drag link flip for awhile as long as you know your steering will be somewhat flighty at higher speeds. I just installed arms a month or so ago and haven't found the need to flip my drag link yet.

Are you happy enough with your Rancho RS9000XLs? I really like the idea of adjust-ability when I tow my trailer and off-road.

Here’s what Exodus Jeeps already told you...

The adjustable lower control arms that come with the Enforcer kit are all that is necessary to correct the geometry on the front. I’ve run into some circumstances where it would’ve been nice to have upper control arms on the front to adjust the caster some more, but it wasn’t completely necessary. If you were in a JK, yes I’d recommend you add adjustable rear upper control arms at the very least.

You should replace your front driveshaft with either Adams or JE Reel. They’re both good but I’m more partial to the JE Reel these days. You’ll find a lot of “experts” on the internet that will tell you to get a 1310 driveshaft so it’ll break before any axle shafts or ring & pinion will. I’ve seen enough axle shafts break before driveshafts to confidently tell you that is bullshit. Buy a 1350 and don’t worry about breaking your driveshaft. If you ever break an axle shaft, replace it with a stronger one.

Yes. Very happy with the 9000s. I have chased the comfort of the rear quite a bit for my setup this past year because of all the weight I carry on a normal basis. I swapped springs twice and ended up adding spacers on top of the HD springs to finally find something I'm happy with. Now I just adjust the shocks depending on what I'm doing and how much additional weight (ie: people) I'm carrying in the back.

If you go with the 3" Enforcer you'll more than likely need it because it'll put you over 3". If you stay at 2-3" it's unnecessary.

And, yes, the only adjustable arms you "need" will be the front lower and rear upper and that's really only for when you replace the driveshafts so you can adjust for the proper pinion angles.
