Always happy to hear guys like you can appreciate our coverage of SEMAThanks for your hard work !
It's tough. A lot of what I'm seeing feels a lot like 2008, back when the economy was in having a hard time and everyone was pulling back. At that time, it really felt like the show would never recover from the loss but then it did and in a HUGE way. While there are a lot of similarities this time around, the biggest difference is that we now have social media. Even before the virus thing, more and more companies were already feeling like the cost to show at SEMA was greater than their ROI and that they could do as good of a job on their own by pimping their own stuff online and by using whores to pimp for them. And, while this has saved them a ton of money or at least, initially, I am starting to see a slight shift in their thinking. Already, both Ford and now Mopar have returned even though it's in a much smaller presence and even companies like Falken came back with a semi display outside. Milestar, one of the last big china tire brands pulled out of their mega display but still retained a small booth, just to retain floor seniority, in the event they do decide to come back in the future.Great coverage, Thank you!! What are your thoughts on the trend of high profile companies no longer attending? Market shift, different target audience, economy, climate change, DEI initiatives?
You bet and glad you enjoyed our coverage from the showThank you for all the hard work and coverage! Cant wait until next year. Now I have some catching up to do on the videos though. lol
