Pack rats are the worst. In the mountains of Arizona it looks like there are a lot of broken down vehicles because most cars left outside have their hoods up.

Clay was reinstalling his diff cover and this one bolt decided to be difficult, even at just 25 ft lbs of torque
Yeah, crazy.

Yeah, he just felt it start to go and stopped. We even got all ready to do an extraction but when he started to remove the bolt head, the whole thing came out. Super lucky. Also, I had a spare so we were able to wrap things up quickly.

Well after several days of preparing the JK, I am out of time and need to move on to the next phase of this adventure.
The problem when you only drive your Jeep a couple times a year you forget what needs to be serviced, fixed or modified- but I think I have hit the high points.
I’d like to thank Eddie for his technical support…. well…. yeah he actually did most of the hard work while I stood around bullshitting.
List of maintenance:
Oil change
Tire rotation
Rear diff fluid
Grease in the zerks
Topped off coolant
Window wash fluid
New wipers
Checked brake fluid
Checked Hydro-fluid
Moved radio forward
Sorted tools, recovery gear, checked on-board air system
Looked around underneath for obvious issues.
Topped off with fuel
Checked ARB function
Stock ARB with Pliny the Elder!
Took these pics on the north end of Carson City. Those mountains in the distance are gorgeous.
