Looking for a good Rock Slide Rail

Thanks Brooklyn! I had a guy that lives down the street that has a welding business that I had asked if he could build some to what I wanted and he said sure but ended up moving recently so I gave up on that avenue.

Boat Sliders

We got the Boat Sliders from ROCK HARD 4x4. They are awesome!!!!
We did not have to weld them on.

ROCK HARD 4x4 boat sliders

Yes they are really solid. They attach to the 3 body mounting bolts on the frame and eleven bolts on the body.

Hold off until you can get what you want. If you're going to wield EVO. Bolt on LOD. I have LOD because I don't have a wielder. They are stout and I have never had any problems.

I just installed LOD on mine. Will be having my first off-road experience next week, so I can't say anything about how they hold up. I was choosing between LOD and EVO (those two because of everything I've read here). I went with LOD because I can't weld. Easy install. Look great.

As you can see in the link I posted, Eddie ran LOD on Moby for a while. He recommended them to me, because they are good, functional sliders, and have a good step, for my not-very-tall wife.

Relic I'm like you and don't have a welder. I agree I'm going to hold off until I can afford the ones I want rather than settling for less. Thanks!

Good luck on your trip, hope you enjoy it. Yeah EVO and LoD are the 2 I've been looking at as well due to what everyone has said about the 2.

Anybody around you have a welder? Or is there a weld shop that could weld them on for you? That is if you went with the EVOs or the like. Idk what they would charge but we got mine welded on in less than an hour, that included me grinding the paint off the frame to weld. Which if you find somebody to weld them on you might ask them if it would save you some money if you grounded the paint off yourself.

If your issue is finding someone to weld the evo on for you. I'm sure you can find someone who can come out to you and weld them on the spot. Google search it and I'm sure you'll find a few.

Mudmobeeler yeah there is a welding shop in about 30 minutes from me. I know a guy that knows the owner pretty good, I can go by and check with him.

Roger93 thanks didn't even think of that but they might charge a lot because I am about an hour or so outside San Antonio.

I "saved money" by running rubicon rails, buying ACE sliders, selling ACE sliders, selling rails, buying EVO sliders and welding them on myself. Do it right the first time.

The ACE's are great for steps, but now my boys are older, they can monkey climb up the EVO sliders.

I have the brawler rockers from psc. They are strong as hell and frame mounted.

I too have the brawler rockers. Since when are they frame mounted? Mine mount to their brawler rocker specific armor and then wrap under and attach to the body mounts. They are working well for me and took some good hits. I've been really pleased with them but just not sure about the frame mount statement.

Edit: Went and checked out their website and the Brawler Rockers do not mount to the frame. They have a Rocker Knocker, and Ricochet Rocker which mount to the frame but have large bolts on the bottom of the frame. I'm sure they are plenty strong but I can see these hanging up if you were actually sliding. If I wanted frame mount I'd go with EVO for first choice and LoD as a second. As I mentioned I've taken some good hits and pivoted on what I have now and they have worked extremely well. If you're looking for boatside style sliders I'd go with these.

Here is the link to PSC's rockers.

Yep you're totally right. They wrap under and attach to the body mounts as you stated. Not sure why I thought they were frame mounted. But definitely very strong and beefy indeed.

Hope this ok to post in this area. I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler JKU Sport and looking for a solid set of rock sliders for some protection on my Jeep. I really would prefer to get the EVO rails but just not in the budget right now. Does anyone have any ideas or experience from what they currently have or had experience with? Thanks in advance! :thumb:

Rock Slide Engineering has an awesome set that are bomb proof i have them on mine and love them they even offer a step that goes in and out when you open the door. They are worth taking a look at. Good luck:rock:
