Looking at some bumpers...

Not really... Basically what you're saying is that no other sliders can have hard angles at the corners. There are only so many ways to make sliders. So I can understand why some look alike... But without hard evidence who's to say A stole from B or vice versa.

So now nobody can make a rear bolt on d ring kit? That's called monopoly which unless under specials circumstances is illegal.

You haven't proved any point except things look alike. And like I stated before there is only so many way to make the same part, hence why they may look alike yet still have differences. Otherwise there would only be one company allowed to sell or manufacture parts. Which again is called monopoly and mostly illegal.

LOL. That's not even close to a monopoly!

When my kids get to this point in an argument with me I tell them "Never miss a good chance to shut up"

:cheesy: "Mostly Illegal?"
Please stop - you are going to injure yourself

Please tell me you are fucking kidding!!! There are a ton of "slider" designs out there. This is a blatant copycat. EVO 1 has been running the prototype long before released. The EVO sliders have been out for a LONG time. Before VKS was even a company.

Now you are starting to look like a troll just here to argue a BOGUS VKS stance.

Sure you "asked" about a bumper, but we don't care about the bumper because of what the company is. EVO/ORE are supporters of this forum. We appreciate their support. Perhaps go yell your VKS BS on a forum that VKS supports.

For what it's worth, many of the companies that "copy" others, are in fact owned by the same parent company. So the rules and objections hold no water there.

I don't know how well VKS products hold up but I can tell you that if you call them and ask to get some rock sliders welded they will charge you an arm and a leg. I suspect that it's because I didn't buy their product. I had never heard of VKS but they are a shop in my area so when I received my Evo Rock sliders and was looking for a place to get them welded I called them and they asked if it was their sliders or someone else's. WhenI told them they were Evo sliders they quoted me almost $400 to get them welded

The main question I asked still hasn't been answered about product strength. Everything said has been about one company copying another.
But thank you everyone.

And for the record, below is your original post. I fail to see where you asked for product strength. All I see is you asking for opinions on two companies bumpers. Opinions have been given and for some reason you are butt hurt over one of them. Do you work for VKS?

I've been looking at the VKS front stubby stinger bumper and the Poison Spyder comp/trail bfh stinger front bumper. Not sure which one to go with. What are your guys opinions?

Just caught up on this. Looks like i missed a bunch of bullshit denying the obvious and people getting butthurt. Classic "im gonna defend a bullshit product just out of spite". Those sliders are an EXACT copys of Evo's. Sorry, but its a fact.

Please stop. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Well that just speaks volumes about VKS.

Looks like they copy a lot of stuff.

Wow! Those guys clearly have no sense of pride whatsoever. I'm just surprised they haven't been bought out by Teraflex.

Best thing I've read all day lol

My .2 cents...

Strength? metal vs plastic OEM bumper? You do the math.

Copy? vs the real deal?
Real deal for the win!

Make sense? Now let's all head over to a more productive thread like...

Name that Jeep part or What am I looking at.

Best regards!
