Sorry that sucks, but they do mention on their website that these are a medium duty slider.I thought these could take a little impact, but I was wrong. The Jeep is stock and the drop couldn't have been more than a few inches.
Yes, this is for a four door.My wife is wanting me to buy these for my 2-door JL. I assume that this damage is on a 4- door JLU?
eh, still disappointing and glad you posted this up for others to see. Maybe it'll help the next guy out.Well, that is definitely my bad then, I missed the part where it said medium duty. Well then, they served me well when I needed to wash the top of the Jeep and saved my doors at crowded parking lots.
I hope so. For the price tag I knew I should have went with EVO Bombers.eh, still disappointing and glad you posted this up for others to see. Maybe it'll help the next guy out.
Yeah, the bolts that went into the side of the frame in the front and also bottom of the frame in the back.they were named correctly, Destroyer.
Did you install the optional mounting bolts?
looks like LOD was aware of the body contact potential, from the instructions:
"For offroad use, we recommend that the Slider Body be in its lowest position possible to provide a greater gap between the Slider Body and the Jeep rocker panel"
looking at the install instructions, those steps seem to have pretty good Hz and Lat adjustments.Yeah, the bolts that went into the side of the frame in the front and also bottom of the frame in the back.
I'll check mine out, maybe I snug them up to close to the body. Will get under the Jeep when the weather gets better (SoCal).looking at the install instructions, those steps seem to have pretty good Hz and Lat adjustments.
Wonder if welding that part of it would keep it from flexing into the body.
I've got matching dimples on each side of on my JKU from sliders
the Signature are stout, I've landed pretty hard on them (not on purpose) and no Jeep body damage.Dang it, that is unfortunate. Glad I went with the Signature.
Hope they hold up better.
