Loaded 2012 Unlimited trail ready JK - Better then a Rubicon

Stock axle housing. Not stock axle shafts. Chrome moly axle shafts front and rear. Didn't go coilovers or long arm because I need to pass inspections. The Rough Country 4" X-series was the most hard core lift I could get that would allow me to stay streetable and pass inspections.

Why are coilovers and long arm not streetable?

There's nothing from the stock Rubicon that is still on his jeep. He wasted money by going with a Rubicon. So yes... He could have gotten a sport. Should have even... The transfer case is the ONLY thing of envy on a rubicon, and there's no way I would pay a Rubicon premium just for a transfer case.

forgot about heated seats!!

As for your lift you hear many more problems and such then with any other lift of its type!! i had a RC lift once it was cheap stuff!

Actually both his jeeps ran stock axles for a couple of years. Rubicat upgraded to a PR44 in the front after his factory axle bent and just recently got a 60 in the rear because he had a take off from his other jeep. Also has sway bar disconnect on both jeeps, rubicon transfer case on both up until recently as the rub it case wouldn't work with an LS conversion. And the rubicon has some cool decals. :idon'tknow:

Forgot the power windows/locks. I'd break a nail or something if it weren't for those alone.

So in other words NONE of his stock rubicon parts are still on his jeeps? Like I said, would have done better starting with a sport.

To each is own I suppose. I can afford it too but that doesn't mean I would.

My grandfather procured a WWII Jeep that the Americans left behind after Japan was defeated. I always loved that Jeep as a youngster when he would drive me around town. This Rubicon is my first Jeep I have ever owned. I don't hate any other brand or look down on it. I started off roading and overlanding in a Land rover but always had a place in my heart for a Jeep. I like both since I currently own 3 Land Rovers I off road in and 1 Rubicon.

Because I have to get an inspection.
Moved to MD for work, and MD says no long arms. If you have a long arm jeep in MD, you don't have license tags on it.

Here are the inspection guidelines,

http://www.mdstateinspectionstation.com/what's_inspected_on_your_car.htm

I don't see anything about long arms. Also Maryland inspection is a one time thing for as long as you own the vehicle. Do it once and you are done. So if you did it stock you don't have to do it again.

I'm all about actual facts not hearsay. If you have proof about long arms not passing I'd like to read it.

Anecdotal evidence. I had a Lexus that stayed in the shop, and a KIA that never had any problems... What's your point. You bought a cheap lift, and got the issues that goes along with that. I'm sure all manufacturers make cheap lifts. I chose to get the best lift I could find... Forum argument aside, compare it part for part to the brands that are touted on this forum. I found that the parts list was better. I could care less about labels, I only care about what company has the best product. When it came to a none long arm lift, my research said it was my X-series. If you're trolling, I'm sure you won't agree. If you actually take a look at what is offered, i'll let you decide on your own.

Its offers coils that sag with in months! that what it offers!

lol How about he called RC hard core lol hahahaha
Chevy makes Corvettes and Cobalts, Nissan makes GTR's and Jukes. You bought a cheap lift from a company that makes lifts that run the gambit of wallet levels. You got the Cobalt of lifts and had issues. Of course you did.

Did you read what I said? Rubicon sway bar disconnect on both. Rubicon factory locker on the front of rubicat. Rubicon transfer case on rubicat. Other parts replaced on moby were some 7 years after purchase. Maybe I'm missing something here.

Or you could save like most people and buy something that is worth something! you getting away from the point and still CAN NOT JUSTIFY THE $38500!!!

He's a little lacking in that area, otherwise he would know he doesn't need two steering stabilizers OR an upper and lower tierod. He drank the water in the creek.

Thanks for that Mr. NONE MARYLAND RESIDENT. You're wrong, but thank you none-the-less. I'm officially done. There's a guy from California telling me that he doesnt think a long arm kit is actually disallowed in MD. Absolutely unbelievable. I'm actually willing to post the info to help out other MD jeepers. Not adding it to this forum though. I don't have to prove chit to you. 2ND... I RECENTLY moved to Md. Moved there from GA for work.

Long arm lifts will absolutely fail an inspection in Maryland. Meaning I couldn't register in MD if I had one, meaning I couldn't sell it in MD because no one else would be able to register it either. Meaning that I would be harassed by the MD police and given a "fix it" ticket.
