Livin the Life - Tahoe 2013

No, we've broken a front axle shaft really early on and always anticipate breaking the other sometime soon.

Was that the stock or aftermarket that broke? Just curious as I will be going 37s. Tips to avoid the break you had.

After stopping to do a visual check under the hood and not finding anything obvious we continued on...

Well p0430 indicates something is up with the exhaust. Either exhaust leak, bad o2 sensor, or bad cat. Since the exhaust did have some work on it due to the lift (turning the JK trumpet around?) Any one of those three seem likely.

The other code however is a bit more troublesome. Indicates that your alternator is either not charging or is not switching from on to off or vice versa. So either your battery wont charge or it will overcharge. Neither of which is good. I'd put a multimeter on it while it is running to see if you are sitting at the correct voltage and make sure your battery is not expanding from overcharge.

Glad to see you making your way back up north. Let me know when you get settled and I'll drive up to say hello (maybe a Tahoe Meet & Greet over some pizza and beer?)

This year we need to make sure to get a pic of Rubicat on "Overlander" road. ;)

Edit: Just saw you are throwing codes...BUMMER! I hope it is nothing serious.

For sure we'll have to hook up :)

That looked like it was close to westguard pass? Think I've passed that building a few times.

I saw you guys headed up 395 today just south of Independence. I was headed South. I pouted a little at the thought that I was stuck working:grayno:

LOL!! We were wondering who that was. Good to see you :)

Thanks for the info, ill be giving things a harder look in the morning.

Here are few more pics from yesterday.

Inside an old stamp mill. It's nice that when you're far enough away, stuff like this can still be found.
