Street lights on at 4:30 today on my way home from work. Dixie fire blew up the last day and a half, the two small towns west of me have been evacuated Greenville burnt down, and it’s about 17 miles away from my doorstep now.

My son is in there some where with one of the hot shot teams from AZ he said its insane how fast this fire is.

They evacuated the base camp closest to the fire, the big camp is in Chico. I hope he’s safe but glad to have him. Thanks to Newsome CA doesn’t have much of a fire fighter force, it was mostly inmates that he let out early for CoViD

I haven’t heard from him in a couple days as a parent it’s tough to know he’s in there somewhere.

I get a briefing every morning on the fire & efforts, there has been no report of any firefighter injuries. My prayers will be with him

Smoke rolled into Bend yesterday afternoon really thick. Luckily most of it has cleared out today.

Just when I thought we were gonna see a break in the smoke, the fricken Caldor fire broke out. Yesterday was apocalyptic and today is still pretty bad.
