Officials are nearing the end of the search and recovery phase of their response to the Maui wildfires, while an unknown number of people are missing.

So sad, it's going to be a month before these people are allowed to see their homes again or what's left of them. We have a small fire safe in our home and the contents would be vital to my family in a time like that. No one, for any reason would keep me from retrieving that safe immediately after a disaster.
Luckily it sounds like Lahaina already had a very tight knit community now I hope they get all the resources they need to recover from this.
