Kingston peak or red cone this weekend

Good times yesterday. Didn't anticipate such a big group or 2 breakdowns, but still a beautiful day to be in the mountains.

What kind of break downs did you guys have?

If you look closely at my pic you can see two jeeps on the switchback on the far right - that's Jack helping pull a smashed steering stabilizer. I had already started the climb on the last leg there and there was no way I could back down that section much less turn around. So I waited at the top and took pics. :D

The other was a blown U-joint. Fortunately he (I didnt get a name) was in a good spot to drive out in 2WD, so we pulled the front passenger shaft and he was able to get home.

Yeah the guy was like "I think my ujoint might be bad" and him and another guy were poking around but I was a bit confused because they weren't poking at the ujoint just the general area. I touched the cap and it literally crumbled so It was def bad. The guy was about to drive out until it broke bit we convinced him it was a better idea to help pull the axle shaft and let him limp out, so we did that and sealed the shaft and he was good to go.

Was good fun running with you guys, thanks for letting a lowly stock-ish sport run without catching flack. I took some pictures during the run.IMG_20160820_121202199.jpgIMG_20160820_123434927_TOP.jpgIMG_20160820_131335219.jpgIMG_20160820_150835870.jpgIMG_20160820_151812936.jpg
