I would say that a programmer correction for your new tire size should help with the shift points of your transmission. You mentioned possibly changing your gears in the future and the programmer would allow you to correct for the new gear ratio after you have them installed. With 3.21 gears and a 3.8L you will definitely feel a noticeable difference with 33's. I would suggest initially getting a programmer to see if it helps with your situation enough for you to live with. If not, you can re-gear at some point and will still need the programmer anyway. That is just what I would do...my 2 cents.
