Josh's JK build

There is a good possibility! How far from VB are you? Or should I ask how much shipping would be? I'm almost afraid to ask...

I'll grab some pics after work today.
I can ship them via my work. We get a pretty good rate. I wouldn't imagine it'd be more than 75 seein. As how I'm in Portland.

Oregon or Maine? Either way that's pretty cheap! I really appreciate it though!! What are you asking for the rails then?

My zip is 23454. I have no idea what they go for, but a discount is always appreciated especially on a budget build. Lol

Oregon. What's your zip and I can get a little closer guess.

Haven't thought about a price. You get a Wayalife discount obviously.

Any thought into price? Still looking for 2 dr rails but seem to be few and far between... let me know if you're still looking to part with them. Thanks!

Your build is coming along nicely. The tires make a huge difference! When you open the front up by trimming the flares, you'll notice the tires even more.

If you have Rubi take off springs and shocks coming, it should give you at least an inch and a half height, depending on what springs you have now.

Any rubbing should be resolved with some spacers.

Edit. Depending on the coils you get, you may not need a leveling kit. That may save you some money.

Awesome, thanks for the tips. My shocks now are 14/55. The new ones are 17 (or 18?) /59 so that should be helpful. The leveling kit...depending on what I get out of the springs like you said... I have 1.5" wheel spacers now and that works well. Had to trim a small part of the air dam but nothing major. I was really excited about trimming the fenders (just a tad) as I was getting a dremel for my b day today but she was not too excited about it. Need to win her over with Eddies awesome write up then maybe she'll come around. Lol

Latest pic yesterday... should have rubi take-off shocks and springs in today. Still looking to add the leveling kit, even if springs give me between 1-2"... which comes with a question. Understanding that less than 2" of lift doesn't necessarily require additional suspension upgrades, would it be a good idea to install front and rear track bar brackets, sway bar, and/or control arm extensions as well? Reading different things but not sure what pertains to my build as a necessity. Any insight would be great! Thanks y'all!

Your Jeep is looking great! Keep up the good work. I used the leveling kit from Teraflex with great results, good stance and good on road feel. i do believe that it made the ride alitte rougher however. the only suspension work i had to do was to recenter the steering wheel, which just takes a couple turns of the turnbuckle thing on the draglink. a job you and your highly qualified assistant can knock out in 5 min.

Hoop - good call! No leveling kit needed! (Yet...lol) next up, trim fenders with my birthday present on Tuesday... a new Dremel 4000! Can't wait!

I can see the difference! A 3/4 coil spacer is another suggestion for an inexpensive mod. Throw the coil spacers on and when u get the fenders trimmed it will look wide open. Should have plenty of space. Each jeep is different but I don't think you'll need to modify brake lines and/or bump stops. Obviously, check but you should be fine.

Yeah I was looking at the brake lines when installing the coils and looked like they are going to have enough play for another inch or so. Without cutting too close I think I would be good for 3/4" easy... want to trim fender first though and see what that does. Road trip with my assistant in July to visit fam in AL and LA, so hoping to hit some trails on the way down... anyone know of anywhere I should check out between VB and Birmingham?

Well some improvements made... BB is about done for the time being. Did the 1.75" pucks for now as my wifey has a hard time getting in with back issues. It still seems a lot higher with the JKU hard top MTP springs (18/59) since they gave me 2" at all four corners as well. Installed the brake line relo brackets, hood latches, rear sway bar links, and the geo corr brackets for the time being until I can get the adj LCA's I want.

Almost forgot, picked up a pair of the Evo C-gussets. Anyone know a good place to get them welded on in VB? Or maybe know someone close to Tidewater who works (welds) for beer and BBQ? Lol

Clutch, TOB, release fork, and bearing replaced. What an undertaking that was! But I have to remind myself that I saved over $1000 doing it myself... well worth it!

So I picked up a pair of Inspired Engineering A-Pillar LED's for the wife for Christmas and had some time to install them last weekend. I think they turned out pretty good.
